Ever heard of Alberto Cairo? I have been following his blogs for a long time. While I did take data visualization in my Master’s Program, I decided to go ahead and figure out how to use some new tools. He is offering a new course, Data Journalism and Visualization with Free Tools through the Knight Center. I am hoping to document my progress and get feedback on what works and what doesn’t. The course starts October 14th.
When I say I am avid learner, I mean just that. I have enjoyed some MOOC’s and have also paid for online courses. I find it quite enjoyable to learn new things. I am currently also upgrading my Python skills. More on that later.
